About the Book:

My Brother Charlie and Not My Boy!

My Brother Charlie is a picture book written by actress Holly Robinson Peete and her eleven-year-old daughter Ryan Elizabeth Peete. A heartwarming fictional story of patience, love and acceptance, My Brother Charlie is based on the Peete family’s own experiences living with Ryan’s twin brother RJ who has autism.  The book includes additional information from both Holly and Ryan about living with a child who has autism, and a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the HollyRod4Kids Foundation to help children with autism gain access to affordable treatments and therapies.

In Not My Boy!: A Father, A Son, and One Family’s Journey with Autism, Rodney Peete tells a heartrending account of a father’s personal journey with his son R.J.’s autism. Like many fathers dealing with a special-needs child, Peete’s expectations and hopes drastically changed when his son was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. This book explores how Peete and his wife fought through the challenge and how their marriage became stronger as a result. He also offers parents valuable wisdom on how to handle feelings of guilt and frustration that arise with siblings of an autistic child. A portion of the proceeds from Not My Boy! will go to autism charities.
