To Kill the Other


Danuta Hinc Danuta Hinc is the author of To Kill the Other (Tate Publishing, 2011), the fictionalized life story of one of the 9/11 hijackers. Hinc has also published short fiction in the Little Patuxent Review, The Muse, and numerous features in the newsletter of the Polish Library in Washington, D.C. She grew up near Gdansk, Poland, and immigrated to the United States in 1991 after completing her Master's in Literary Studies, History and Linguistics, at Gdansk University. She is a member of the faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she teaches Professional Writing. She also teaches English Writing at Howard Community College in Columbia Maryland. She has worked as a translator for the Embassy of Poland and as an editor for Rosetta Stone's Polish-English language learning program. She is currently working on a collection of short stories based on people and events in her family and the history of 20th century Europe, titled, Europe Without a Name. Hinc lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, with her son, Alex, her partner, Dan, and their 120-pound giant schnauzer named Rex.
