In an effort to provide a positive experience for all festival-goers, The Baltimore Book Festival has created an access plan to help navigate to and around the festival.

The deadline to request the following services is Monday, September 17, 2012:
- Sign Language Interpreter
- Braille or Large Print Version of the Festival Program (a copy will also be available at the Information Tent, located on the corner of Charles Street and West Mt. Vernon Place.
- Guided Tour of the festival site for visually impaired festival-goers.

- Ride the MTA

- Charm City Circulator
- This free public transportation service that travels two routes in Baltimore City, is a fast, friendly, and FREE way to get around town during The Baltimore Book Festival! Two routes are currently operating: the Orange Route which runs along Pratt and Lombard streets between Hollins Market/UMB Biopark and Harbor East and the Purple Route which connects Penn Station to Mount Vernon, downtown, and Federal Hill along Charles and St. Paul/Light streets. - Driving and Parking
At the Festival
- Visit the Information Tent, located on the corner of Charles Street and West Mt. Vernon Place. Festival staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you. You can also read the Braille or Large Print Version of the Festival Program or listen to the program on a MP3 player here.
- Please Note: the festival site is very crowded and can be difficult to maneuver - it is located in a historic neighborhood with cobblestone streets. Please be sure to operate your mobility device in a safe and courteous manner.
- Accessible portable toilets are available throughout the festival site. Locations include: Madison Street at Charles Street, East Mt. Vernon Place at St. Paul Avenue and West Mt. Vernon Place at Cathedral Street.
- Accessible eating areas are located in the north park and on Madison Street.
- Service animals are allowed at the festival. Service animals must be under the control of their owners, on a leash and along side of its owner at all times. Disruptive or dangerous animals will be asked to leave the site.
- Medics will be roaming throughout the festival site to assist with issues. All emergency situations should be directed to 911.
- The festival does not provide wheelchair rental. We also do not have an area to store medications.
